In-Depth Guide
AK-47 | Aphrodite: The Complete Guide
Complete AK-47 | Aphrodite CS2 skin guide — explore its history, design, rarity, float range, collection, and availability.
History & Origin
AK-47 | Aphrodite released January 21, 2026, as part of the "Fourth Season Skins" update — the fourth and, as of this writing, most recent skin to rotate through Valve's "Limited Edition Item" set, about five months after M4A1-S | Solitude took over as the featured item.
It's a Counter-Strike 2-native release, with no CS:GO history of its own. It shipped as a Covert-tier finish with a Souvenir edition and no StatTrak™ version.
Design & Finish
As a finish, Aphrodite is applied to the AK-47 — the Terrorists' classic assault rifle, known for high per-shot damage and a one-shot headshot kill at most ranges — and carries the deep red rarity color every Covert-tier skin shares on the Steam Market and in-game. It's a Gunsmith finish, blending patina and custom paint styles; here rendered mostly in shades of gray, with the hand guard and stock finished to resemble mother-of-pearl.
That Covert classification puts it in the same rarity bracket as skins like the Karambit's rarest finishes — among the rarest tier a regular CS2 skin can reach, and the highest rarity the Limited Edition Item set has used for any of its 4 skins so far.
Wear & Float
Aphrodite ships in all five wear conditions, from Factory New through Battle-Scarred, across the full 0.00–1.00 float range.
As with every CS2 skin, lower float values look cleaner: Factory New copies (roughly below 0.07 float) show the mother-of-pearl finish at its sharpest, while Field-Tested and Well-Worn pieces make up the most commonly traded middle ground between mint and heavily worn.
Availability & Drop Mechanics
Aphrodite doesn't come from a Case or Collection you open — it's redeemed directly from the Armory's XP Shop for 25 stars, earned by playing with an active Armory Pass, while it's the currently-featured Limited Edition Item. Every other Armory collection instead costs 4 stars for a random skin from that collection's own pool; this set is the one exception where spending stars buys the specific, guaranteed featured skin, not a chance at one.
As the set's newest entry, Aphrodite is that guaranteed pull for as long as it stays featured; once a future skin rotates in behind it, direct redemption through the shop is expected to close the same way it has for the 3 skins before it, leaving trading and the Steam Community Market as the way to acquire one from that point on. There's no drop chance to publish for it — it was never drawn from a pool in the first place.
Versions & Variants
There's a Souvenir edition of Aphrodite alongside the Normal version — but no StatTrak™ counterpart exists for it.
There's no separate phase or pattern family — Aphrodite is a single fixed design across every wear condition it ships in, with pattern index affecting the gray/pearl finish's exact look rather than creating distinct variants.
Popularity & Community
As the only Covert-tier skin in the Limited Edition Item set — one tier above Desert Eagle | Heat Treated and M4A1-S | Solitude's Classified, and two above XM1014 | Solitude's Restricted — Aphrodite is both the rarest and the most sought-after of the 4, on the same AK-47 platform that already carries some of CS2's most recognized Covert finishes.
Without a StatTrak™ edition to chase, collector interest in the StatTrak direction doesn't apply here — the Souvenir edition is the one variant that trades at a premium over the Normal version.
Updates & Changes
Aphrodite's core definition hasn't changed since its January 2026 release — no rarity change, no reissue. As the set's most recent addition, whether it later closes to direct redemption the same way its 3 predecessors did will depend on when (or whether) Valve rotates in a fifth Limited Edition Item skin.
Trivia & Related Information
Aphrodite is the only Gunsmith-finish and only Covert-tier skin in the Limited Edition Item set — the other 3 use Case Hardening (Desert Eagle | Heat Treated) or the shared Hydrographic "Solitude" finish (XM1014 | Solitude, M4A1-S | Solitude).
